I was just thinking yesterday that the store up the road has really good french fries. The couch I was on seemed to be in the living room of my old house on Spears Road in Ft. Erie, which has probably been on my mind due to recent memories of lake effect snows, which are worse in Ft. Erie than anywhere else in the Niagara Region.
The picture is looking west over Lake Ontario from the world's tallest free standing structure, the CN Tower. The curve of Earth's surface is visible from such a height, as is the mist from Niagara Falls, over an hour's drive away.

OK now that is an incredible picture. Simply breathtaking! And all of a sudden I'm hungry for french fries.
It was a fun day. Living in Toronto was like living in hell, but that day out with my roomies was such a welcome break!
I'm hankering some fries now, too...
Ditto ello "breathtaking" photograph!
You have to love Western New York! I wish I could remember my dreams!
Late here, but I'll come back and have a look at the links - have been up the CN; would have loved to have seen it under those conditions!
Been to Kew today and seen Henry Moore sculptures - really ace; some much bigger than I imagined.
Miladysa; Thanks!
Monarch; Practice makes perfect. ;)
Julie; It was a cold, blustery day, actually. Standing out on the deck to get this shot was unpleasant, at best. It was much better inside, having an overpriced Cosmopolitan & watching a small plane practicing take offs & landings at the island airport below. Regardless, the view is always stunning. :)
Cool on Kew Gardens! I'm sure you've taken pix to share.
What a beautiful picture! Very peaceful. The fry dream is funny, it's neat to see your dreams come together with your descriptions afterwards.
:)
Chris; Thank you. I don't typically get down to interpreting dreams for weeks & that information would be intensely personal, of course, but I do like to make a few comments when I can.
Gorgeous, stunning photograph! There's something to be said about the beauty of the cold. Of course, I have to say that given where I am . . . but still. As for french fries, I could stand some right about now for breakfast instead of the crap I have in my house.
Now you got me wanting some fries.
Michelle; Thanks. It's already 62F at 10am today. This is SO much better! (Don't worry--I'll be suffering horribly in August.)
Charles; Let's get us some fries, then! :)
Cool picture. Lake effect snow, yeah . . . and French Fries, reminds me of fries standing in cups at some places, putine, fries with vinegar, fries with mustard, fries with hot sauce or ketchup and salt, all making me hungry on a cold dank day in De-troit. . .
Amazing picture, Lana. Brought back great memories of the CN Tower.
Erik; I love fries with vinegar! Although poutine sounds delicious, I've never had it. They should call it what it is; "heart attack in a bowl." Bon appetit! *L*
David; Thanks! Although I'm a nature nut at heart, there's room in there for the CN Tower, too.
Is the Heron painting for sale? I would love to see it!!!
T.R.; I e-mailed you a response.
Amazing photo, Lana. Obviously, you do not suffer from acrophobia. :-)
Marvin; Thanks. Yeah, I love heights. A section of the floor up there is made of glass, too, so you can look straight down all the way to the ground between your feet. A little weird-feeling, but still cool! :)
LOL, Lana. I could do it -- steel the nerves a little and do it, but if my wife ever took one step out onto that glass section...... Well, let's just say I'd be in the market for a new wife -- one who's heart was still beating.
Marvin; Oh! Well, that's out then! *LOL!* (I'm sure your wife is much better than the view from the CN Tower, anyway. :)
